It is the time again to sign up for the Maple Season of Au Pied de Cochon sugar shack. The moment the clock strikes midnight on Dec. 1st, hundreds of diners will repeatedly click on the refresh button until the form pops up to guarantee a spot for next year. This will be my fourth time trying out Martin Picard's latest concoction. The menu changes every year, it is always exciting to see what dishes that he will come up next year. Have a look at my
2012 post. This year, there were more front-of-the-table actions - squid ink pasta tossed in large block of cheese, cognac flambéed duck breast, and a whole maple smoked ham prepared in front of you.
The menu is fixed at $65 for next year. My roommate says it is a great deal for an "all-you-can-eat place with takeout included".
